Help us lay the groundwork for a healthy and prosperous future.
On May 18, we're raising $25,000 for a just and sustainable future. The climate crisis is accelerating, and extreme weather events spell an uncertain future for farmers and food security worldwide. This reality will impact us all, but those with the least resources will bear a disproportionate burden.
We need restorative and just solutions to the global climate crisis. Sustainable Harvest International has been creating transformational change by partnering with smallholder farmers for the last 25 years. We know that a better future is possible, but we have to act with urgency.
SHI has been at the forefront of the sustainable farming movement for the last 25 years. With the right training in sustainable practices, smallholder farmers can create resilient communities and improve rural livelihoods, all while restoring vulnerable ecosystems for generations to come. Since 1997, SHI has partnered with over 3,000 smallholder farmers in Central America to do just that.
SHI's programs have profound and cascading impacts on improving family nutrition, regional food security, landscape restoration, carbon drawdown, and more. SHI's model is holistic, nature-positive, and human-centered.
And after 25 years, it's a time-tested model that works.
These next 25 years will undoubtedly be challenging, but they can also be full of hope and optimism. With your generosity, we'll continue to expand our core programs while exponentially increasing our impact through innovation. We're already moving forward with a board-approved plan to help transition one million farms to regenerative agriculture, and our plans for the future keep growing every day.
